The victory of Donald Trump in the presidential election caused unprecedented consequences for mental health in the US and the world: this is the leitmotif of The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump, in which 27 authors, led by a psychologist from Yale University, Bandy Lee, voiced their own opinion on the mental state of the US president.

As the British newspaper The Independent writes, the authors consider Trump as mentally ill.

Among the authors of the book (each of them wrote a separate chapter) are psychiatrists, psychologists, a linguist, a media analyst and a journalist.

In particular, one of the authors, a psychiatrist by profession, points out the dangerous unpredictability of Trump's actions, while giving an example when the head of the White House ordered the bombardment of positions of the Syrian army under the influence of his daughter's emotional reaction after viewing photos of children who were victims of a chemical attack.

The newspaper notes that the authors of the book violated the fundamental principle of American psychiatry: to publish anything only with the patient's consent.
