Two women have recently been appointed heads of departments of the Israeli Foreign Intelligence Service Mossad.
These are the highest posts ever assigned to women in this secret institution.
Employee S was appointed to head the unit in the last few weeks, while L was assigned to a parallel unit a few months ago
The Mossad confirmed the reliability of this message, but refused to provide additional information about the appointments or about which S and L units are responsible.
Meanwhile, for the first time in the history of Mossad Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu will award medals to employees of this service who have distinguished themselves in the performance of secret assignments. This will happen at a private ceremony today, October 2.
Netanyahu and the head of the Mossad, Yossi Cohen, will award representatives of six reconnaissance groups for the "events that they held last year."
