Lithuania banned the Russian channel because of the statements of Zhirinovsky

Lithuania for six months banned broadcasting of the Russian television channel TVTSі because of incitement to war and inciting hatred.

The Lithuanian Broadcasting Commission stopped the retransmission of the channel, stating that the violations are not individual, and the sanctions applied earlier did not yield any results, the local newspaper Delfi reports.

The ban was authorized by the Vilnius District Administrative Court. The attention of the commission was attracted by the comments of the State Duma deputy Vladimir Zhirinovsky made in the program "The Right to Know" on June 10. It is established that the Russian politician incited to war, incited hatred and intolerance among peoples.

Zhirinovsky spoke about the occupation of Ukraine and Transnistria. Representatives of the channel sent written explanations and participated in the meeting of the commission, but violations were not recognized.
