

On October 1, in Uzhgorod, the National Police of Ukraine detained members of a gangster group that is guilty of at least nine crimes.
Among them, in particular, anti-Semitic: in Chernivtsi, where on the night of 19.11.2016 the Central Synagogue was desecrated, the main facade of which was marked with an anti-Semitic inscription; in Uman, where on 21.12.2016 the malefactors penetrated the grave of Rabbi Nachman and threw the head of a pig with a cut swastika; in Lviv, where on June 30, 2017 criminals tried to set fire to the synagogue; as well as the last crime in the city of Uman, where on 21.09.2017 a grenade was thrown, from which two citizens of the State of Israel were injured. In addition, the group carried out other crimes motivated by xenophobia, in particular, in Kiev on June 8, 2017, attackers threw a grenade at the US Embassy.
According to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov, the specialists of the criminal investigation department of the National Police detained intruders near the border (two people were detained, another one was wanted). A specially prepared explosive device with a connected gas cylinder for detonation and RGD-5 grenades was seized from them.
"They went to blow up the Hungarian monument on the border with Ukraine - to execute another order - recently the Ukrainian-Hungarian relations have become aggravated. The attack against the Hungarian monument on the Veretsk pass in the Transcarpathian region was supposed to add fuel to the fire, "Avakov said.
Law enforcers tracked down the terrorists after the crime in Uman. According to Avakov, the perpetrators of crimes are members of the "Torpedo" OPG, they have long been in the zone of attention of the siloviki for a number of other crimes. Members of the group are residents of the Odessa, Cherkasy and Kiev regions. For each crime, attackers received different monetary rewards - from 300 to 500 dollars.
Criminals face a life sentence.
