Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu today for the first time handed in the insignia for participating in special operations and for operational activities to the units of the Mossad intelligence service. The ceremony "The Badge of Honor of the Head of Government" will henceforth be an annual one.

During the ceremony, Prime Minister Netanyahu said:

"First of all, you cared about the security of Israel, you play a significant role in ensuring security and the future of the country. These words are backed up by many reconnaissance operations aimed at eliminating the main threats that we face, and today we are handing insignia for carrying out these operations.

I pay tribute to your initiative, courage, professionalism, manifested during preparation and during the course of operations.
I must say that "Mossad" works as a well-functioning mechanism, and, no less importantly, successfully coordinates its actions with other bodies.

And these insignia are presented and will be awarded annually as a sign of appreciation of the government and the state for your service.
Understanding that we are all doing a great thing - that's what guides you, brings these insignia and a high appreciation of your activities to the Jewish people and peoples of the world.

I pay homage to you and your families, who also play an important role in your work. I want to wish you a good year, a good record in the Book of Fates, and I want to wish that next year we meet to receive six more distinctions.
