A member of the Knesset from the Zionist Camp, Erel Margalit, sent a letter to his Israeli counterpart, Julia Edelstein, about his resignation.
The resignation will come into force 48 hours after the filing of an official resignation.
According to Margalita, his decision to leave the post of parliamentarian was followed by the failure of the leader of "Labor" in the elections, on which he lost to Avi Gabay.
It is reported that Margalit will return to its investment fund, Jerusalem Venture Partners.
Vacant place will be given to the deputy mayor of Yokneam-Ilit to the director of the Jewish National Fund for Public Relations and the head of the women movement "Labor" Lea Fadide.
Margalit became the second member of the "Zionist camp" for the week, which resigned. Earlier it became known about the resignation of Professor Manuel Trachtenberg.
