Eight Israeli schoolchildren received the award of The New-York Times for writing short essays, the Israel-A-Yom newspaper reports.
According to the published information, we are talking about the students of the school "Madaim ae-Omanuyot" in Jerusalem, who took part in the competition held by the famous American edition among schoolchildren around the world.
As the newspaper writes, in total more than 10,000 works have been submitted, of which the jury selected 300, awarded with the badge of distinction. Among these three hundred works were essays written by eight Israelis.
