Israeli company Israel Aerospace Industries demonstrated a drone for the rescue of wounded soldiers. The unmanned Air Hopper helicopter underwent successful tests, transmits the Israeli "9 channel".
To demonstrate the efficiency of the rotorcraft, the developers worked out two scenarios. In the first - the device equipped with life sensors, simulated the transfer of a wounded soldier to the point of assistance, fixing the state and time of delivery. In the second scenario, the machine delivered heavy parcels - provisions and armament on the front line.
Engineers who created the device, said that the helicopter Air Hopper is able to carry loads of up to 180 kg. The duration of his flight is two hours. The device can reach speeds of up to 120 km per hour. The power plant operates on conventional gasoline, which should significantly reduce the cost of its operation in the troops in comparison with other helicopters.
