Cyprus airline TUS Airways, the only international air carrier operating with the Haifa airport, stops flights on Haifa direction from Monday.

TUS did not manage to work with the airport, which operates only until 20:00, and did not wait for the benefits promised by the Israeli authorities - the cancellation of airport fees from a single foreign air carrier.
In the spring and summer of this year, the Cyprus airline expanded the geography of its flights from Haifa: starting with Larnaca and Paphos, at the height of the tourist season, it also began to fly to Athens, Rhodes and Kos. The opening of the Haifa-Athens airline in March was marked by a solemn ceremony with the participation of the Mayor of Haifa, Jonah Jahav, the Minister of Transport and Intelligence Israel Kats, the heads of the Airports Authority, tourist associations and other officials.
