Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met with representatives of the local Armenian community yesterday at the Armenian Embassy in Switzerland.
The Armenian President's press service shared this information. During the meeting Sargsyan briefed the community members on the meeting with President Ilham Aliyev:
"A few minutes ago, our meeting with the president of Azerbaijan ended. There is no specific agreement. We have agreed that in order to avoid sacrifices on the front line, we will take measures to a great extent to reduce the tension. The President of Azerbaijan and I are very interested in this."
Nonetheless, Sargsyan, who said he wanted peace in Karabakh, still insisted on separatist ideas. Sargsyan's key point of view is that he never intends to recognize Azerbaijan's territorial integrity. In his speech at the public, Sargsyan claimed that he wanted to see Karabakh as an independent state, with this statement he trampled down the agreement he calls "acquired" agreement in Geneva.
