According to media reports, a train and a military truck collided in Raseborg, a city in Finland.
At least 4 are dead and 8 were injured in a crash at a railroad crossing: "a passenger train from Karis to Hanko collided with a vehicle at the level crossing. There were several people injured," a railway traffic monitor said as quted by local news website yle.fi.
The Finnish Minister of Defence Jussi Niinistö said that Thursday "had started with a shocking news" and he feels "ultimate grief”.
According to local police, the vehicle was a military off-road truck.
The accident occurred around eight in the morning local time. Trains between the cities of Karja and Hanko have been suspended. Information on the causes of what happened is not given.
Exactly one month ago, on September 26, a tank involved in the Aurora-2017 exercises collided with a passenger train near the town of Trusa, south-west of the Swedish capital. Four people were injured: three tank crew members and a train driver.
