Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway will have a positive impact on the strengthening and expansion of economic and other relations between the two countries.

Kanal24 reports that this was stated by Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov at the official opening ceremony of the BTK in Baku.

Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim wrote in his letter that BTK will be an incentive not only for economic but also for the strengthening of cultural ties.

Then, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made a speech at the ceremony.

R.T. Erdogan told that he is pleased to be attending the opening ceremony of the BTK:

"The main part of the Medium Corridor project is completed by the launch of the BTK. Thus, we announce the establishment of an uninterrupted rail link from London to China. "
